If you’re an American Express Platinum cardholder and looking for an exclusive deal on a luxury watch, listen up! Amex and Swiss watchmaker Breitling have teamed up for a promotion that expires on March 16, 2026, giving you just under 6 months to take advantage of this offer.
You might want to make a purchase sooner however, as Breitling CEO Georges Kern told Hodinkee in August 2025 that the company has built an inventory buffer in the US that should last about 3 months in the face of the 39% tariffs on Swiss exports into the US. Price hikes then, if not in place already, would likely hit around November this year. Sounds like Mr. Kern is trying to help US retailers move the extra inventory with this Amex partnership…
How does it work?
For every $2,500 that you spend using your American Express Platinum credit card at a US-based Breitling boutique or online on the US Breitling website, you will earn 50,000 Amex Membership Rewards (MR) points (up to 3 times). That means you can either make between one to three separate purchases of $2,500 or more to get 50,000 each time, or spend at minimum $2,500, $5,000 or $7,500 in one go to get 50,000, 100,000 or 150,000 MR, respectively.

Navigate to the American Express website or mobile app and log in.
If you have multiple Amex cards, make sure you’re looking specifically at the Amex Platinum card dashboard.
On the web, scroll down to the “Amex Offers & Benefits” section. On the mobile app, tap on the “Offers” icon at the bottom of your screen. Then, look for something like this:
Hit “add to card” on the web or the plus symbol on your app to enroll in the offer.
Make your qualifying purchase(s) in-store at a US Breitling boutique or online at the US Breitling website and expect your MR points to come in within 90 days!
Some things to note in the fine print:
Offer is US-customer-centric: Only works with US-issued Platinum cards, in USD, at US boutique locations or on the US Breitling website. If purchased on the website, the order needs to be shipped to a US address.
Only official boutique/website purchases are eligible: Offer can’t be redeemed at outlet locations or on purchases from secondary or authorized dealers.
